Surveyor / Estimator

Overview

£47,500 - £52,500 + bonus + benefits. Kilbury Construction has been building lasting quality across Gloucestershire for over 25 years. It is known for craftsmanship, conservation expertise, and personal service. With exciting new projects in the pipeline, the business is looking for a Surveyor / Estimator to join the close-knit team.

This is a hands on dual role opportunity for someone who enjoys seeing projects through from first enquiry to final account. You will be pricing work, managing costs, and supporting delivery across residential and commercial builds ranging from £100K to £1M.

Responsibilities
  • Preparing detailed estimates and tender submissions
  • Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Managing budgets, valuations, and final accounts
  • Supporting site teams and attending progress meetings
  • Helping to shape more efficient ways of working through cost analysis and feedback
What we’re looking for
  • Experience in a small to medium construction business
  • A practical mindset and strong commercial instincts
  • Confidence with drawings, specs, and client conversations
  • A full UK driving licence, sense of humour and a collaborative team spirit
