Overview

Estimator / Quantity Surveyor - Tavistock

Permanent, Full-time

We're looking for an experienced Estimator/Quantity Surveyor to join a busy construction team. This is a hands-on role where your expertise in cost estimating and project analysis will directly contribute to winning new projects and ensuring their successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate and competitive estimates and bids for construction projects.
  • Analyse drawings, specifications, and contracts to determine project requirements.
  • Quantify materials, labour, and other resources needed for projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain cost databases and stay updated on market trends and industry standards.
  • Ensure timely submission of estimates and reports.
Your Profile
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Experience in estimating or quantity surveying within construction.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and costs.
  • Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Causeway), Microsoft Project, and MS Office.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
