Job summary

The Recruitment Orchard is seeking a commercially sharp Estimator for a creative production business in Cardiff. You will take briefs, artwork, drawings and specifications and build accurate, competitive quotations covering a range of print and display projects.

This on-site role requires someone numerically strong, commercially aware and detail-oriented, able to challenge briefs when alternative, more cost-effective solutions exist.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating for large-format print, POS, signage, and displays.
• Ability to build accurate, competitive quotations covering briefs, artwork and specifications.
• Commercially aware with margin and quality protection.

Job description

I'm partnering with a highly creative production business producing everything from print and POS to fabricated displays, exhibitions, events and large-scale retail installations.

They're looking to create a new role for a commercially sharp Estimator who understands that great estimating isn't simply about finding the lowest price – it's about finding the right production solution at the right cost while protecting margin and quality.

You'll take briefs, artwork, drawings and specifications and build accurate, competitive quotations covering:

You'll work closely with Client Services, Production and external suppliers to identify the smartest and most commercially viable way to deliver each project.

We're particularly interested in people with estimating experience across large-format print, POS, retail displays, signage, fabrication, exhibitions, events or display manufacturing.

You could currently be an Estimator, Print Estimator, Costing Executive or Commercial Coordinator.

You'll need to be numerically strong, commercially aware, inquisitive and seriously good with detail – with the confidence to challenge a brief when there's a better way of doing it.

They are a collaborative team so it is essential you are able to be based on site 5 days a week in Cardiff.
