Job summary

Bimplus in Leeds is seeking an Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive tenders for new projects, working with the commercial, design and contracts teams.

You will review drawings, produce detailed take-offs and prepare estimates for labour, materials, fabrication and installation. Ideally, you will have estimating experience in architectural metalwork, structural steel or steel fabrication and be confident reading construction drawings.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating in architectural metalwork, structural steel or steel fabrication.
• Confident reading construction and fabrication drawings.
• Salary dependent on level of experience.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Produce detailed take-offs and material quantities.
• Prepare estimates for labour, materials, fabrication and installation.
• Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Analyse project costs and prepare competitive tenders.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers and internal project team.
• Follow up tenders and assist with negotiations.
• Support projects through handover from estimating to contracts.
