Estimator - Interior Fit-Out (Full-Time)

Salary: £40,000+ (dependent on experience)

Flexible working: Office / Home / Site

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced and motivated Estimator to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone with industry experience who can take ownership of enquiries from initial concept through to cost presentation — acting as a trusted adviser to clients throughout the journey. You'll meet clients, interpret briefs and drawings, prepare detailed cost estimates, and play a key part in maintaining a strong pipeline of projects within the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet with potential clients to understand project requirements before pricing
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for medical and commercial interior fit-out projects
  • Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to assess project scope and risk
  • Obtain competitive quotations from subcontractors and suppliers
  • Prepare bills of quantities and cost breakdowns
  • Attend client meetings, site visits, and pre-tender briefings
  • Liaise with design, procurement, and delivery teams to ensure consistency across pricing and scope
  • Support value engineering and cost-saving initiatives
  • Lead handover meetings with delivery teams to ensure smooth project transition
  • Maintain up-to-date pricing databases and supplier contacts
  • Assist with pricing and managing variations on live projects
About You
  • Proven experience as an Estimator within a fit-out or interiors main contractor
  • Experience in healthcare, medical, or laboratory projects (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and services
  • Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to interpret CAD drawings and prepare accurate costings
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable working with digital systems
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team
