Job summary

A manufacturing company in Thornaby-on-Tees is seeking a highly motivated machinist for a full-time role. Overview

The position is permanent, full time, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Handling multiple and varied projects.
• Liaison with material and subcontract service suppliers to determine best external costs.
• Liaise with Management to assist with the generation of machine shop processes and routings with appropriate times to determine machining costs.
• Preparation of detailed quotations.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience

• A highly motivated, proactive and preferably a time served machinist who can demonstrate successful experience in a similar role.
• You must be familiar with a good aspect of CNC machining as well as manual machining and be conversant with current tooling developments.
• Excellent mathematical and numerical skills.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
