Job summary

  • Knowledge of current UK building regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects based on drawings, specifications, and other relevant documents.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather information for accurate estimations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure all aspects are considered in the estimation process.
  • Analyse labour, material, and overhead costs to provide comprehensive bids.
  • Maintain and update a database of costs and pricing for materials and services to ensure accuracy in future estimates.
  • Review and assess subcontractor bids and proposals to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports and documentation for management review.
  • Assist in the negotiation of contracts and agreements with clients and subcontractors.
