A leading sheet metal fabrication company in Burnley is seeking a Permanent Estimator to support production and sales. The ideal candidate will have proven estimating experience, strong skills in interpreting technical drawings, and be confident using ERP systems. Responsibilities include preparing quotations, collaborating with engineering and production teams, and ensuring efficient project planning. This role offers a salary of up to £38,000 along with 30 days holiday and a positive work-life balance.
Aspired Talent are delighted to be recruiting for a Permanent Estimator on behalf of a leading sheet metal fabrication company based in Burnley (BB12). This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced estimator who is confident working with technical data, production teams, and commercial stakeholders.
As an Estimator, you will play a key part in supporting production, engineering, and sales by accurately costing projects, interpreting technical drawings, and ensuring quotes are prepared efficiently and professionally.
Interpret technical, engineering, and fabrication drawings to create accurate cost estimates.
Prepare detailed quotations for customers, including production costs and material requirements.
Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Sales teams to support project planning and feasibility.
Utilise the company ERP system for data input, cost tracking, and job management.
Provide solutions that are efficient, cost-effective, and customer-focused.
Apply management experience to contribute to workflow planning and team coordination where required.
Proven experience as an Estimator within sheet metal, fabrication, or a similar engineering environment.
Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Solution-focused, analytical, and proactive in approach.
Experienced in estimating production processes and bill of materials.
Confident using an ERP system.
Management or supervisory experience essential.
Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Salary: Up to £38,000 (negotiable DOE, with salary reviews).
30 days holiday including bank holidays.
On‑site parking.
Early Friday finish.
Working hours :
o MondayThursday : 7 : 30am
4 : 30pm
o Friday : 7 : 30am
12 : 30pm
