Job summary

Anderselite in Bolton is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our commercial team, with one day per week hybrid working from home. The role travels across the North West to sites and focuses on highways schemes using schedules of rates and first principles estimates in Candy.

You will negotiate with clients on Direct Award Frameworks, lead bids on PQQs and frameworks, and collaborate with procurement to build value through social value matrices and strategic partnerships.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years' experience in Highways Estimating or Senior Quantity Surveyor role.
• Proficient in Causeway, Candy, or similar estimating software.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Experience in commercial/engineering roles within the highways industry.
• Working knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts.

Estimator - Civil Engineering/Highways - Bolton - Permanent - Up to £70,000 salary

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our commercial team based at the Bolton office, with the flexibility of one day per week hybrid working from home if required. The role involves travelling to and working on sites throughout the North West. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and submitting accurate estimates for highways schemes, utilising both existing schedules of rates and first principles estimating methods using software such as Candy. You will negotiate directly with clients on existing Direct Award Frameworks.

Duties

• Engagement with clients during Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) phases for future schemes is also a key part of the role.

The package includes a competitive salary of £65,000 to £70,000, a car allowance, profit-related bonus, and 35 days annual leave including bank holidays.
