Estimator - Manufacturer / Subcontractor

Location: Bedford

Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum

The Role: Estimator

You will be responsible for creating accurate cost estimates, analysing project requirements, and supporting the sales team with competitive pricing proposals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for security products and installation services
  • Review tender documents and specifications to determine pricing
  • Calculate material, labour, and subcontractor costs
  • Source and negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotes
  • Assess risks and compliance with UK security standards
  • Maintain records of estimates and bid submissions
  • Collaborate with Sales, Project Management, and Production teams
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in an Estimator role
  • Strong analytical abilities with high attention to detail
  • Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift) and Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar design software is beneficial
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
