Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Hexham is looking for an experienced Estates Technical Officer to manage building services at Hexham General Hospital. The successful candidate will handle day-to-day operations, manage a multi-skilled workforce, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Ideal candidates should have NVQ level 4 or higher in engineering and significant experience in M&E Building Services. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to perform well under pressure.

Qualifications

• Significant M&E Building Services experience is required.
• Ability to handle conflicting priorities and work under pressure.
• Extensive knowledge of maintenance of critical engineering plant.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operation and management of all Building/Engineering services.
• Direct line management of a multi-disciplined workforce.
• Ensure all PPM and capital/minor works are completed to a high standard.
• Participate in health and safety management across the trust.
