Job summary

Estates Manager

Location: Oxford

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Contract: Temporary 12 weeks

Pay: £25.19 per hour

Start: ASAP

We are recruiting on behalf of a prestigious organisation for an experienced Estates Manager to join their team on a temporary basis.

This is a hands-on estates leadership role, overseeing maintenance, contractors, projects, budgets and health & safety across a busy multi-site environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage planned and reactive maintenance programmes
• Lead and support the maintenance team
• Manage contractors, suppliers and external service providers
• Oversee estates projects, budgets and procurement
• Monitor building compliance, health & safety and statutory requirements
• Manage contractor performance and project delivery
• Prepare budget, performance and estates reports
• Support longer-term estates planning and development

About You

• Previous supervisory/management experience within Estates or Facilities
• Strong experience managing contractors and supply chains
• Project and budget management experience
• Good understanding of buildings and the built environment
• Strong knowledge of health & safety requirements
• Experience leading a team and delivering estates projects
• Confident IT user, including Microsoft Excel
• Strong commercial awareness and financial acumen
