A leading educational institution in the United Kingdom is seeking an Estates Manager responsible for overseeing the maintenance and safety of multi-site facilities, including specialty areas like hydrotherapy pools. Ideal candidates will have experience in estates or facilities management, particularly in education or healthcare, and strong leadership skills. This full-time role offers a salary range of £37,280 - £46,142.
Abbey Court School caters for pupils aged 3-19 with Severe Learning Difficulties and is currently located on two Strood sites; Cliffe Road (Nursery Primary and new Secondary provision designed and purpose built specifically to meet the needs of our pupils) and Rede Court Road (Further Education). The primary site is also home to our school farm!
Comprehensive training and induction will be provided.
We’re seeking a skilled Estates Manager to oversee the maintenance, safety and presentation of multi-site facilities. This includes specialist areas such as hydrotherapy pools, a school farm and a fleet of vehicles. You’ll ensure a safe, clean and well‑managed environment that supports pupils with complex learning needs.
You’ll lead a team of caretakers and cleaners, manage contractors and ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations. This role involves emergency planning, site security and strategic oversight of all maintenance and improvement works. We’re looking for someone with estates or facilities management experience ideally in education or health care, with strong leadership and organisational skills. IOSH / NEBOSH qualifications and experience in SEND settings are desirable.
