Estates Manager (Temporary)

Location: Belfast J

Job Type: Temporary

Duration of Booking: Expected to last 3 months with possible extension

Proposed Start Date: ASAP

Pay Rates: Up to £24.23 per hour Umbrella or £21.40 per hour PAYE (inclusive of holiday pay)

Hours / Working Days: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm

Main Purpose of Role

The Estates Manager (Temporary) will support the Head of Estates with strategic and operational planning, service delivery, financial oversight, and regulatory compliance of estates functions. The role includes leading the development of estates programmes, asset management plans and supporting project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations and planning within Estates including work task management and service provider coordination.
  • Support development of strategic documents such as the Property Asset Management Plan.
  • Prepare business cases, tenders, and departmental reports in line with departmental policy.
  • Maintain and manage CAFM systems, lease plans, and data returns to the Department of Health.
  • Attend meetings and ensure timely follow-up on Estates actions and decisions.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to financial and resource management and ensure adherence to audit and corporate governance.
Essential Criteria
  • HND or equivalent in a relevant subject (e.g., Business, Management, Finance), or minimum 5 years’ experience in contract / procurement management in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience with CAFM software and in managing property portfolios across multi-site operations.
  • Experience in project delivery, contract management, and reporting.
  • Excellent planning, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Full UK driving licence or access to transport.
Desirable Criteria
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a middle management facilities role.
  • Experience working within the healthcare sector.
  • Healthcare Leadership qualification.
