A regional healthcare provider in Barrow-in-Furness is seeking a qualified individual to manage the mechanical infrastructure at their hospitals. The role involves ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, supervising a team, and managing budgets. The successful candidate will be responsible for the mechanical infrastructure at Furness General Hospital and Millom Hospital. This includes being the Lead Mechanical AP (Authorised Person), Lead Ventilation AP, Lead Water Safety AP and managing a team of deputy APs, ensuring compliance with HTM and H&S regulations.

The salary advertised is for full‑time hours. If the post is less than 37.5 hours per week, the salary will be pro‑rated. For NHS Agenda for Change pay‑scales new entrants typically start at the first pay point of the relevant band. Applicants will receive a DBS check; enhanced disclosure costs £55.38 and standard £27.38, which can be paid over 1–3 months.
