Estates Compliance Manager

Full time, 37 hours per week

£41,064 to £46,049 per annum

Are you passionate about health and safety compliance and ready to make a real impact in a dynamic estates and facilities environment? We are seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Estates Compliance Manager to join our Estates and Facilities Services (EFS) team at the University of Winchester.

As the Estates Compliance Manager, you will lead on ensuring that all EFS operations meet health and safety requirements and compliance standards. You will develop and manage safe systems of work, oversee audits and risk assessments, and promote a blame free culture of and continuous improvement across the department.

You will also manage a small team including the Compliance Administrator and Fire Safety Manager, and act as the key liaison with stakeholders for EFS Compliance matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and co-ordinate H&S and compliance activities across EFS.

  • Act as the main point of contact for health and safety matters within EFS.

  • Implement and monitor compliance with University health and safety policies.

  • Manage compliance-related contracts and procurement.

  • Oversee fire safety, asbestos management, COSHH, working at height, legionella control, and permit-to-work systems.

  • Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and compliance audits.

  • Produce management reports and data visualisations to track performance.

  • Drive continuous improvement in compliance and safety practices.
