Ukma (Af) Ltd is seeking an Estate Worker (Permanent) to assist with animal care, estate maintenance, and facility upkeep. You will help feed and monitor birds under aviculturist guidance and operate tractors, JCB mini diggers, and ATVs as required on site.

Responsibilities include maintaining clean facilities, supporting breeding efforts, and transporting animals for events or visits. The role demands physical work and strict adherence to health and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Experience in environments with birds of prey is highly desirable.
• Experience with tractors, JCB mini diggers, ATVs and related equipment.
• Valid UK driving license; HGV license and experience in animal care are desirable.
• Ability to meet physical demands including manual labour and handling birds.

Responsabilités

• Assist with the care and management of animals, including feeding and monitoring health under the guidance of aviculturists.
• Maintain the facilities, ensuring that all chambers, equipment, and related areas are kept clean and in optimal condition.
• Support the breeding program by assisting with the preparation of facilities and handling of animals as required.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks around the estate, including groundskeeping and general property upkeep, with a focus on areas.
• Operate machinery and vehicles, such as tractors and JCB mini diggers, for tasks related to the upkeep of facilities.
• Assist in the preparation and transportation of animals for events, training sessions, or client visits.
• Ensure all livestock, including are fed appropriately and on schedule.
• Adhere to strict health and safety guidelines, particularly in relation to animal handling and care.
• Any tasks or responsibilities as requested by management within the scope of the position.
