Job summary

UK Mission Enterprise is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper (Permanent) to maintain high standards of cleanliness across assigned properties in the United Kingdom. The role requires working rotating shifts, including weekends and bank holidays, with attention to health and safety protocols and proactive guest service.

Candidates should have experience in professional housekeeping, good English communication, and a willingness to handle physical tasks and inventory management.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak and understand English (Essential).
• Experience in professional housekeeping and ability to handle physical demands.
• Safe handling of hazardous chemicals training (Desirable).
• Valid UK driving license (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned properties to high standards, both in and out of season, ensuring readiness.
• Maintain cleanliness in hallways, staircases, lifts, bathrooms and kitchens to specification.
• Operate and monitor water outlets regularly to prevent legionella; log temperatures and pressures.
• Assist with pre-arrival setups, during stay servicing, and post-stay cleaning.
• Open/close properties, disarm/set alarms, and report issues to the housekeeping office.
• Verify staff/contractor access via the office and supervise contractors on site.
• Report maintenance problems to supervisor or housekeeping office.
• Handle laundry quantities for pickup/drop-off and ensure quality on return.
• Assist with stock takes and upkeep of housekeeping equipment.
• Monitor crockery, cutlery and table linen inventory and respond to damages.
