Job summary

Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) is seeking a Senior Estate Manager (information specialist) to lead a modern, data‑driven estate through smart building technology, BIM, and integrated asset information. Hybrid working in Swindon with occasional travel.

You will set policy, governance, and lifecycle management for digital estate data, coordinating BIM, GIS, digital twins, and CAFM systems across sites.

Qualifications

• Experience of estate information management including electronic platforms.
• Experience of embedding consistent standards across sites for estate information management.
• Experience of strengthening estate compliance through clearer oversight and reporting.
• Skills and experience to support cross team coordination and end to end workflow integration.
• Experience of building capability and confidence in new platforms and data driven methods.
• Mindful of workloads and how platforms can enable more effective working.
• Professionally accredited in BIM, with experience using BIM and asset information management platforms (e.g. Revit, Navisworks).

Responsibilities

• Lead on estates information asset strategy aligned with priorities.
• Embed standards for estate information management (BIM ISO 19650).
• Govern platform integrations for BIM, GIS, digital twins and CAFM/CMMS.
• Oversee governance and lifecycle management of digital asset data.
