Job summary

Reed Specialist Recruitment is seeking an Estate Cleaning Operative to cover communal areas in estates within the TN34/TN35/TN38 postcodes. You will perform cleaning, litter picking, bulk rubbish removal, and report issues to maintain high visual standards and safety.

A full UK driving licence and basic DBS are required; duties include operating cleaning equipment, following COSHH guidelines, and joining the Out of Hours rota as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current full UK driving licence.
• Experience in cleaning/estates environment preferred.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all seasons.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high standard cleaning service to communal areas in blocks (lifts, stairwells, floors, walls, windows).
• Carry out litter picking and bulk rubbish/fly-tipping removal.
• Ensure PPE and machinery are used safely and report faults or incidents to senior staff.
• Maintain safe storage of hazardous/flammable liquids per COSHH and fire regs.
• Follow health and safety requirements and Orbit policies.
