Job summary

Essex County Council's Adult Community Learning (ACL) in Clacton-on-Sea is seeking a Vocational Trainer - ESOL on a part-time basis (18.5 hours/week).Spanning mornings, afternoons and occasional evenings, the role delivers ESOL teaching to adult learners, both in person and online, with travel to other ACL locations as needed.

The successful candidate will have ESOL qualifications (CELTA/Delta/Level 5 TESOL or equivalent degree) and proven experience in ESOL delivery, digital learning, and

Qualifications

• Must have ESOL qualification (CELTA/Delta/Level 5 TESOL) or a relevant degree.
• Experience delivering ESOL to adult learners.
• Experience in teaching, training, coaching or supporting learners.
• Good digital ICT skills and confidence using technology for learning.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment within ESOL programmes, both face-to-face and online.
• Motivate learners to achieve goals and progress in learning.
• Plan and deliver learning programmes for diverse adult groups in a safe, inclusive environment.
• Promote technology and help learners develop digital confidence and skills.
• Use initial, diagnostic and formative assessment to monitor progress and provide feedback.
• Maintain accurate learner attendance, progress and achievement records.
