A local government education service is seeking passionate tutors for its First Steps ESOL project, focusing on English Language Acquisition for beginners in Coventry. Candidates must hold a Level 4/5 CELTA/TESOL qualification and have experience in community adult education. This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, with a commitment to inclusivity and engaging learners from diverse backgrounds. Course content will focus on English language aligned to the Home Office Indicators of Integration Framework such as housing, work, education, health & social care and leisure as well as assisting learners to access support from organisations across Coventry. Delivery will be year-round and courses will therefore run in the school holidays. This is not a term time only role/position. All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. We are currently not offering sponsorship for this role. This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
