ESOL Lecturer

  • Salary: £30 - £40 Per Hour

We are seeking an ESOL Lecturer who is passionate about student‑centred teaching and proficient in the Communicative Approach. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a supportive and developmental environment with a high Ofsted rating.

Day‑to‑day of the role:
  • Deliver engaging and effective ESOL lessons using the Communicative Approach to enhance language learning for students.
  • Prepare lesson plans and materials based on the needs and levels of students.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and additional support as needed.
  • Participate in curriculum development activities to ensure content is relevant and up‑to‑date.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators to share best practices and insights.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • DELTA (Diploma) or CELTA (Certificate) qualification is required.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in teaching ESOL.
  • Experience in teaching or examining Cambridge FCE, IELTS, or Ascentis exams is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of student‑centred teaching methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
