ESOL Admissions/Onboarder

We are looking for an ESOL Admissions/Onboarder to join our ESOL Team. This is a 17.5 hours per week, part time, permanent role offering a salary of £12,827 to £13,216 per annum.

Job Purpose / Key Responsibilities
  • Arrange learners’ assessments, feedback results, update online interview software
  • Coordinate with other college departments involved with learner applications and enrolment
  • Place learners in appropriate level groups
  • Arrange and attend 2 weekly parent/career meetings with external support teams and follow up actions with internal college teams
  • Intervene if there is evidence of individual under‑achievement or absence from college
  • Deliver high‑quality catch‑up induction AI sessions and quizzes
  • Liaise with the Safeguarding team to ensure that any safeguarding concerns regarding individuals are quickly and effectively responded to
Skills and Qualifications
  • Appropriate qualification in English/maths assessment/Student Support/Mentor/Business Administration, at minimum L2 or above, e.g. Educational Guidance, support or teaching
  • English GCSE and/or L2 Functional English
  • Maths GCSE and/or L2 Functional Maths
  • Effective interpersonal and liaison skills; effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work sensitively with individuals and with teams
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as a member of a team
