Job Title: ERP Learning Support Assistant

Employment Status: Permanent

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Term time plus 5 days

Salary: Grade 3- £22,616- £23,709 pro rata per annum

Required: As soon as possible

Location: Blue Coat C of E School, Coventry

About the role

We are seeking to appoint an experienced ERP Learning Support Assistant to assist in supporting the classroom teacher with their responsibility for the development and education process by providing care and supervision to children/young people, including those who have special physical, emotional and educational needs.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Knowledge of inclusion / SEND with particular expertise in language and communication
  • Recent experience of working with young people either in a school setting, as a parent, or involvement in voluntary work such as a youth group, cubs, brownie or similar organisation
  • Administrative skills including experience of using a range of computer packages, navigating software and operating Microsoft Office
  • Skills to analyse and report on data, the ability to work in a challenging environment, work under pressure and handle situations with patience and sensitivity
  • Excellent communication skills including the confidence to work with small groups of students in a teaching environment

All staff are expected to know what to do if they have concerns about a child, take on the responsibility for providing a safe environment and promoting children’s welfare, undertake regular safeguarding and child protection training and familiarise themselves with KCSIE part 1 and local policies and procedures as directed by the trust/academy.
