In this pivotal position, you’ll take ownership of designing, building, and managing integration solutions across multiple systems – ensuring that our data and technology seamlessly connect to deliver smooth, reliable business operations. You’ll act as the key point of contact for both internal teams and third‑party vendors, leading integration design, governance, and continuous improvement initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic, global programme that supports Merlin’s continued growth and innovation.

This is a hybrid position based at our Head Office in Southwark.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate functional requirements into robust integration designs and technical specifications.
  • Lead the design, build, and deployment of integration solutions across in‑house and third‑party platforms.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for integration activities, queries, and escalations, ensuring clear communication across teams.
  • Oversee documentation for all integrations, ensuring full visibility and traceability of design, build, and testing activities.
  • Partner with the Data Manager to maintain data integrity, monitor data quality, and address integration‑related issues.
  • Manage integration testing across unit, system, and user acceptance phases to ensure business and technical alignment.
  • Maintain governance and compliance through documentation, data flow diagrams, and change control processes.
  • Develop and implement strategies for orchestration and data movement services, ensuring they align with business goals and IT standards.
  • Lead automation and optimisation of workflows to enhance the efficiency and reliability of integrations.
  • Foster collaboration across IT, data engineering, application, and security teams to ensure integration success.
  • Continuously assess and improve integration processes, technologies, and performance.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Proven experience leading ERP integration projects, ideally within large‑scale transformation programmes.
  • Strong understanding of integration patterns, middleware platforms (such as Oracle, SAP, or Azure), and API management.
  • Hands‑on experience with integration tools and technologies (REST/SOAP APIs, ETL, middleware, etc.).
  • Deep knowledge of data governance, master data management, and data validation practices.
  • Proficiency in SQL and strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and optimisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage both third‑party vendors and internal delivery teams effectively.
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and problem‑solving capabilities with a proactive approach to improvement.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or TOGAF are advantageous.
Benefits
  • 40% off LEGO online
  • 25% discount in our retail shops and restaurants
  • Merlin Magic Pass – giving you free tickets to all our attractions worldwide for you, your family, and friends every year
  • Discounted rates at Merlin hotels all over the world
