Overview

Equity Reward Manager — Based in London hybrid or one of our network of 20 offices to include: Manchester, Glasgow, Leeds, Birmingham, Reading, Bristol, Nottingham, Southampton.

The successful applicant will be involved in business development activities, including client proposals, internal and external presentations, and writing material on technical and other matters. Responsibilities
  • Supporting the wider client service team on delivering client projects on Equity Reward workflows, which can include:
    • Designing and structuring new equity or cash-based incentive plans, considering tax (UK and overseas), commercial, tax and accounting impacts; reviewing existing incentive plans to ensure they remain fit for purpose
    • Advising on tax and wider commercial impact of corporate transactions on existing or new incentive plans; advising on tax structuring of transactions
    • Advising management teams on tax impact of transactions on incentive plans in which they participate; designing new incentives post-deal
    • Designing incentive plans for the wider workforce including all employee share purchase plans
    • Supporting clients on annual compliance and disclosure matters relating to operation of their share plans
  • Leading client engagements of moderate complexity independently, consulting with senior team members as necessary
  • Managing commercial aspects of engagements to achieve desired levels of quality and profitability, including utilisation and profitability targets
  • Taking early responsibility for building and maintaining relationships with clients, including discussing people issues and recognising opportunities across specialisms
  • Working with other teams to deliver integrated advice to clients on business issues
  • Delegating work to and reviewing work carried out by junior team members from technical and commercial perspectives
  • Training and developing junior team members from technical and non-technical perspectives
  • Assisting in the development of innovative solutions and opportunities for clients and contributing to initiatives to bring those solutions to market
  • Advising on technical issues and supporting the team’s knowledge management

Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree preferable but not essential
  • Work experience that demonstrates a good foundation of technical and client service skills, with potential to support new business activity
  • ATT and/or CTA/ACA/Legal qualification (either completed or part-completed or seeking to complete); relevant experience will be considered if you don’t have a professional qualification
