Job summary

• Advanced accounting, valuation, and financial modeling capabilities.
• Experience conducting company research through management meetings, earnings analysis, and independent channels.
• MBA or CFA preferred as part of academic credentials.
• Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable investment recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate investment views.
• Fluency in Japanese is essential.

• Comfortable collaborating with portfolio managers while progressing work independently.

• develop deep expertise on Japanese companies, industries, and market dynamics, identifying catalysts and long-term value drivers
• build and maintain detailed financial models, including scenario and sensitivity analyses
• translate detailed fundamental analysis into clear investment recommendations that support portfolio decisions
• partner closely with portfolio managers to move ideas from research into our portfolios
• assess investment opportunities through comprehensive valuation, competitive analysis, and risk assessment
• communicate insights clearly and succinctly through written research notes, presentations, and discussions with colleagues and clients.
