Job summary

Bloomberg seeks an experienced Product Manager to lead the equity index product within its Enterprise Data division. You will shape the vision, manage methodology, and collaborate with Sales, Research, Production, Marketing, and PR to drive global commercial success.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of product management or product development experience.
• Hands-on equity index product experience.
• Index methodology knowledge and keeping methodologies updated and relevant.
• Understanding of governance determinations on index events.
• Demonstrated understanding of financial markets, investment management and the sales process.
• Proven analytical capabilities working with large data sets.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills for driving commercial outcomes.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills including pivot tables and v-lookups.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, evaluate, and shape the index product vision and messaging.
• Serve as an ambassador to the product vision ensuring the equity index platform remains relevant.
• Create and drive product strategy for the equity index business.
• Assess client needs and translate them into index-based solutions.
• Communicate product vision and build consensus among senior leadership.
• Execute on product vision, builds, and go-to-market launches.
• Collaborate across Production, Operations, Engineering, Governance, and other units.
• Partner with sales to act as the subject matter expert and drive marketing of the products.
