Equity Research Analyst, Global Investment Manager - Technology

My client, a highly regarded, global asset manager known for its disciplined, fundamental, bottom-up investment approach, are seeking an experienced Equity Research/ Analyst professional.

This is an opportunity for the chosen candidate to leverage their analytical and technical expertise to drive investment decisions and contribute meaningfully to portfolio performance.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of experience at a large, reputable firm, with a strong preference for those with a technology sector focus, though generalists, or analysts covering other sectors with a strong track record will also be considered. Strong financial modelling, valuation, and quantitative skills are essential, alongside the ability to conduct independent, high-quality research.

The role:
  • Conduct thorough, independent research on assigned industries or global regions to generate actionable investment ideas.
  • Analyse company financials, industry trends, and other data sources to develop specific stock recommendations.
  • Travel to company facilities, attend conferences, and meet corporate management to enhance understanding of businesses and sector dynamics.
  • Serve as the in-house expert on your area of coverage, supporting team decision-making with rigorously developed investment insights.
  • Contribute to portfolio construction, including buy/sell decisions, trade execution, and sector allocation.
  • Collaborate closely with portfolio managers, ensuring research insights are translated into portfolio impact.
  • Perform additional duties as required, including ad-hoc analysis and reporting.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of equity research experience, ideally with exposure to technology or other high-growth sectors.
  • Strong financial modelling and valuation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, with excellent numerical, analytical, and communication abilities.
