Job summary

Semefab in Glenrothes is looking for a Maintenance Engineer (Equipment) to join our experienced engineering team. The role suits an Equipment Engineer or technically capable Maintenance Engineer who enjoys fault finding and working on automated manufacturing equipment.

We value strong engineering fundamentals, a logical approach to troubleshooting and a genuine desire to learn; semiconductor experience is not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining technically complex manufacturing equipment.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• HNC in engineering or time-served engineer with practical industry experience.
• Logical, methodical approach to problem solving.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a close-knit team.
• Willingness to learn and develop in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faults in manufacturing equipment.
• Carry out planned preventive maintenance to maximise reliability.
• Investigate equipment failures, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Support equipment upgrades, qualification activities and engineering changes.
• Collaborate with Process Engineers and Production to minimise downtime.
• Document maintenance activities and follow quality procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
