Excellent facilities and equipment, including DR radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, dental systems, and ECSWT, allowing you to provide high quality care with confidence. A fantastic opportunity awaits just outside York, where a dedicated, independent equine practice is looking for a motivated vet to join their skilled and welcoming team. This is no ordinary ambulatory role — the caseload is as diverse as it is rewarding, spanning everything from children’s ponies and leisure horses to elite competition and thoroughbred racehorses. The team also provides veterinary cover at prestigious events including York Racecourse and local point-to-points, giving you real hands-on experience in the racing industry. With multiple DR systems, advanced scanners, endoscopes, ECSWT, and dental equipment, the practice is fully equipped to deliver gold standard care on the road.

The successful candidate will be a proactive, enthusiastic veterinary surgeon with a special interest in orthopaedics. Experience with diagnostic orthopaedics or racehorses is a bonus, but not essential — full training and support will be provided for the right candidate with the drive to learn and grow. You’ll be joining a close knit, experienced team of vets, nurses, and support staff who are passionate about what they do and committed to supporting each other’s success.
