Job summary

inspiring vet care is hiring a Veterinary Surgeon to join a 24hr, 4-site practice. You will work ~40 hours per week, Mon–Fri, with a shared out-of-hours rota and a supportive senior team.

The role emphasizes clinical excellence, ongoing development, and high standards of patient and client care. You’ll work collaboratively with 20+ vets across a range of certificates and facilities, including imaging, laparoscopy, and ultrasound.

Qualifications

  • Qualified veterinary surgeon registered with the RCVS or eligible to register
  • Experience in clinical practice with routine medical and surgical cases
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Professionalism, reliability, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Pool House Veterinary Hospital is a 24hr, 4 site practice. We are a team of 20 vets with a wide range of experience and skills including certificate holders in Anaesthesia, ECC, Imaging and Surgery, with more of our team working towards additional certificates. We are a busy practice with a truly varied workload.

Practice Highlights

We run our own OOH with a team of designated night vets and nurses, but with many of our day team opting to partake in our night rota. We encourage new/recent graduates to be involved with this rota as we feel this is an excellent way to learn and develop their skills but with the reassurance of a support rota from the senior vet team, should they need it.

The practice boasts a number of facilities including, X-ray, dental X-ray, laparoscopic surgery, endoscopy, bronchoscopy, ultrasound and comprehensive lab. We are long standing practice with a dedicated and supportive team. We pride ourselves on high standards or patient care and customer service. This role will be suited to an experienced veterinary surgeon. Weekends and bank holidays are worked on a rota pattern.
