Zusammenfassung

Inspiring Vet Care is hiring an Equine Veterinary Nurse at Donnington Grove Vets in Newbury. You will deliver high-quality nursing care to equine patients and support client experiences within a busy practice.

You will work with surgeons and the broader team on first opinion cases, with a rolling rota averaging 39 hours per week, 8.5-hour shifts between 6am and 8pm, plus night and weekend rota with time off in lieu.

Qualifikationen

• RCVS registration as Veterinary Nurse.
• Experience in clinical practice with medical and surgical nursing.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Horse handling experience is essential.
• Interest in clinical coaching encouraged.

Aufgaben

• Perform Schedule 3 procedures including stomach tubing and injections.
• Monitor inpatients with regular checks and observations.
• Assist with colic case management and discharge.
• Administer medications and manage IV fluids.
• Provide foal care and administer drugs and oral fluids.
• Milking mares when required.
• Manage isolation and infection control.
• Assist in theatre as circulating nurse and scrub in for procedures.
• Carry out bandage changes and wound care.
• Assist with diagnostic imaging and occasional laboratory work.
