Millfield School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Equine Groom Apprentice to join our friendly and supportive equine team. If you have a genuine love for horses and are eager to develop your skills in stable management, this is a fantastic opportunity to start your career in a vibrant and professional environment.
Our impressive Equestrian Centre features spacious indoor and outdoor arenas and accommodates over 40 horses, including our riding school horses and student livery horses. As an apprentice, you will work closely with experienced staff, care for your allocated horses, and support the team in the daily running of the yard. You’ll be part of a small, collaborative team committed to the welfare of our horses and the well‑being and education of our teenage students.
At Millfield School, we are committed to your professional growth. As an apprentice, you will immerse yourself in all aspects of stable management and benefit from hands‑on training and mentoring. You will also have dedicated time each week for formal training, supporting your progress toward recognised qualifications in the equine industry.
This is a full‑time apprenticeship, working 40 hours per week (including some weekends), with 8 hours set aside for training. Applicants will need to be available to start from 6.45am.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, reliable, and enjoys working with both horses and young people. You should be a team player with good communication skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
