Job Summary

We have embarked on a programme to implement a single Electronic Patient Record (EPR) as part of the NHS digital health ongoing initiative across the Norfolk and Waveney Acute Hospital Collaborative (NWAHC). The collaborative is made up of three acute hospitals in Norfolk and Waveney; James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (JPUH), Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (NNUH) and The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHS Foundation Trust (QEH). The Transformation and Adoption workstream oversees several vital sub‑projects, including leadership and culture, communications and engagement, organisational readiness, cutover, benefits realisation, process design, end‑user training and User Acceptance Testing.

Responsibilities
  • Support the EPR programme in leading the allocated workstream and associated sub‑projects and managing the complex environments and relationships within the Trusts, which will benefit from a centrally coordinated approach due to their complexity and scope.
  • Lead the development and execution of a detailed User Acceptance Testing Plan, ensuring alignment with overall programme milestones and objectives.

Qualifications – Essential
  • Accredited project management qualification (e.g. APM, Prince2, Managing Successful Programmes or equivalent) and significant senior experience in project/programme management delivery with evidence of leading and managing improvement projects in the NHS.
Qualifications – Desirable
  • Masters level qualification or equivalent experience.
Experience – Essential
  • Specialist knowledge, practical application and experience in change management, cost improvement, modernisation, service redesign, facilitation, and successful implementation of service improvements at a senior level.
  • Project and Programme management with evidence of leading and delivering major improvements.
Skills – Essential
  • Ability to empathise and build rapport with clinicians, front‑line staff, managers and others, to influence, motivate and engage them into adopting new ways of working to improve service delivery.
  • Organisational and project management skills, with the ability to influence and build positive and productive relationships at all levels.
Attitude – Essential
  • Commitment and drive to deliver and continually improve the Digital Health Programme.
  • Able to deal with frequent interruptions requiring changes within work patterns and be flexible and adaptable.
