About the Programme

Mid and South Essex Foundation NHS Trust (MSEFT) and Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT) are embarking on the implementation of a UK first of type Unified Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system that spans Acute, Mental Health and Community services.

The new system will be delivered through the Nova Programme, alongside our commercial partners for this significant transformative journey.

We have exciting opportunities to join the Nova programme in the role of EPMA Technician and to be part of our mission and successful delivery of the programme.

Position: EPMA Technician

We are looking for highly skilled and experienced pharmacy technicians with a strong interest in IT to assist the project team to deliver, manage and develop our electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration System (ePMA).

You will work with the project team to facilitate implementation and successful adoption of our Careflow Medicines Management ePMA across sites at MSEFT and/or EPUT.

Main Duties
  • Establish a professional working relationship with all necessary stakeholders linking to the EPMA Project.
  • Able to provide clear communication between multiple teams including external supplier, clinical staff and pharmacy.
  • Ability to adapt your communication style to suit the audience.
  • To plan training sessions and record training records for EPMA project, providing audit trails to ensure all training for clinical staff is completed prior to ‘Go-Live’.
  • Analyse any potential blockers or areas of concern and then escalation to senior members.
  • Analyse any errors in the project and identify risks, hazards and then work with the lead to mitigate these hazards.
