Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Scotland is looking for an individual to assist in health record management at University Hospital Wishaw. This role involves liaising with Health Records Managers and Clinicians to ensure data quality, requiring strong communication skills and experience in a Health Records environment. This is a full-time, fixed-term position with a supportive work culture and benefits, including annual leave and an NHS Pension Scheme.

Job description
The Role

To liaise closely with Health Records Managers, Directorate Support Managers, Clinicians and eHealth to assist in the process of scanning, compression and uploading of records and to ensure the data quality of the electronic record.

The post will work across the Health Records Services structure however the postholder may be the designated lead for particular workloads and customers.

What we'll need you to bring
  • Educated to HND/HNC level or equivalent, plus experience within Health Records scanning environment
  • A specialist knowledge and experience of the patient journey, scanning and application of Clinical Documentation indexing standards application of NHS data definitions, information standards and policies is required.
  • Effective communication skills are required to present and advise on EPR processes and implications and provide instruction and guidance on procedures and standards.
  • An ability to identify and resolve straightforward technical and organisational obstacles to the EPR production process is required.
  • Planning and organising of own workload is required.
It would be great if you also have
  • Experience of the production process of an EPR record gained by in depth understanding of scanning process
  • Previous experience of working in a health records environment with an electronic focus

Fixed Term (12 Months)

Please note this is a 12 Months fixed term post. Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment. The employee MUST already have written agreement from their line manager to be released on a secondment before applying for the post.

Location and Working Pattern

This role will be based in Health Records within University Hospital Wishaw.

The working pattern for this role is Monday to Friday between 08:00 - 18:00
