EPM Consultant (Workday Adaptive)

Overview
KPMG’s Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) practice delivers content‑led, tech‑enabled decision‑improvement solutions focused on planning, reporting, and performance analytics. We are expanding our Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting team and need a consultant who can lead Workday Adaptive Planning projects and develop internal capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end Workday Adaptive Planning implementation projects or key sub‑workstreams, managing the full lifecycle from design to deployment.
- Manage client relationships, project risks, resources, and quality assurance to ensure high‑quality deliverables on schedule.
- Deliver industry‑focused EPM technology and data designs across corporate, financial services, infrastructure, government, and healthcare clients.
- Support the growth of our Workday Adaptive Planning capability through asset development, recruitment, and upskilling.
- Own deliverables and manage workstreams in client engagements, business development, and practice development initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders, internal teams, and external partners.
- Participate in business development activities, including responding to RFPs and supporting proposal development.
Required Experience & Skills
- Extensive experience leading and supporting Workday Adaptive Planning implementations (minimum 2 full implementations).
- Proficiency in designing, building, and testing models/reports in the Workday Adaptive Finance functional area.
- Knowledge of planning versions, model sheets, cube sheets, shared formulas, Office Connect reports, and dashboards.
- Experience in technology solution architecture design, data modelling, and reporting solutions for finance functions.
- Strong project management skills, including organization, prioritization, and risk mitigation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to lead teams and coach junior members.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word; Visio desirable.
- Relevant finance qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA or equivalent) or equivalent experience.
- Workday Adaptive Planning Certification or analogous reporting certification preferred.
