Job summary

Moveatech Limited in Bedford is seeking an EPLAN Design Engineer to create electrical designs for automated material handling and logistics systems, supporting projects from concept through to commissioning.

Responsibilities include producing EPLAN schematics, designing control panels, BOMs and I/O lists, and collaborating with project teams through installation and commissioning. Hybrid working and UK-based roles are offered.

Qualifications

• Proficient in EPLAN Electric P8 for industrial automation schematics.
• Experience designing control panels, junction boxes and field wiring.
• Able to prepare BOMs, IO lists, cable schedules and as-built drawings.
• Experience with conveyors, sortation or AS/RS systems is preferred.
• Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent experience.

About the Opportunity

We're seeking an EPLAN Design Engineer to create electrical designs for automated material handling and logistics systems, supporting projects from concept through to commissioning.

What You'll Be Doing

• Produce electrical schematics in EPLAN Electric P8.
• Design control panels, junction boxes and field wiring.
• Prepare BOMs, I/O lists, cable schedules and as-built drawings.
• Work with engineering and project teams and support build, installation and commissioning.

What We're Looking For

• EPLAN Electric P8 experience in industrial automation or material handling.
• Knowledge of control panels, PLCs, drives, safety circuits and motor control.
• Experience with conveyors, sortation or AS/RS systems.
• Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent industry experience.
• If you have a strong electrical automation background and worked on automation, material handling equipment and would be keen to develop into a design role we would love to hear from you.
