An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly motivated nurse to join the Epilepsy Service at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as Band 7 Epilepsy Senior specialist Nurse. This is a rewarding role for a skilled practitioner who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person‑centred care and improving outcomes for people living with epilepsy.
As part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team, you will provide specialist assessment, support and clinical management for patients across the epilepsy pathway. You will work closely with neurologists, specialist nurses, allied health professionals, primary care colleagues and community partners to ensure patients receive seamless, evidence-based care. We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate individual with excellent clinical, communication and interpersonal skills. Applicants must have a strong clinical background in neurology, with substantial experience in epilepsy care highly desirable. You will possess a comprehensive understanding of epilepsy and related neurological conditions, including their assessment, treatment and long‑term management, and be confident working autonomously within a specialist role.
Independent prescribing is highly desirable for this role but is not essential, and candidates without a prescribing qualification are equally encouraged to apply.
