Job summary

Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking an Epilepsy Specialist Nurse (Band 6) to join our Neurology team. The post welcomes applicants with epilepsy experience or broader neurological care, with development opportunities supported by the neurology team.

The role works Monday to Friday, full or part time, with responsibilities including managing a shared epilepsy caseload, liaising with community and GP teams, and contributing to the delivery of patient-centred care in line with NICE

Qualifications

• Post-registration neurology related study.
• Recent and relevant experience in neurological care.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide a service within the neurology CNS team.
• Manage a shared epilepsy caseload and liaise with community GP teams.
• Ensure cohesive working between Acute and Community Neurology Services.
• Contribute to organisation of neurology multidisciplinary, patient-centred care.
• Facilitate patient flow from A&E and through the neurology unit per NICE guidelines.
