We are looking for passionate, resilient, and inspiring individuals to join our team. As an Epidemiologist, you will provide methodological expertise relating to the design and conduct of studies, will perform or support the analyses, and will contribute to reporting and interpreting the findings.

What you need
  • MSc or PhD in Epidemiology (or other relevant quantitative discipline, e.g. Statistics) or BSc, with significant relevant experience of 5-7 years.
  • Extensive experience with patient level data and statistical programming in SAS and/or R.
  • Excellent organizational skills including written and verbal communication.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task efficiently.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, coupled with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Three years or more of relevant work experience.
  • A strong desire to learn and gain a deep understanding of the work of the department.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and a willingness to respond to the needs of the department.
  • An interest in health care decision making.
  • The ability to take on managerial responsibilities.
Responsibilities
  • Assists with the design of studies, including preparation of protocols, statistical analysis plans and study design reports in collaboration with customers, clinical experts or statisticians/epidemiologists/health economists.
  • Performs programming, statistical analyses and/or modeling and prepares required graphs, tables and figures using the appropriate methods and software tools.
  • Adheres to CDISC standards, including SDTM and ADaM, as required.
  • Performs quality assurance functions in all aspects of technical services.
  • Designs or collaborates in the design of questionnaires, case report forms, consent forms and other data collection tools.
  • Obtains data (e.g. secondary data or cost estimates) for use in epidemiological and health economic studies.
  • Prepares or collaborates in the preparation of final reports, publications and manuscripts, abstracts and materials for presentation.
  • Recognises, exemplifies and adheres to ICON's values which centres around our commitment to People, Clients and Performance.
  • As a member of staff, the employee is expected to embrace and contribute to our culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes adding value to our business and meeting client needs.
  • Contribute to client engagement activities as appropriate.

  • Contributes to building business links within Insights, Evidence & Value IC, and with ICON Clinical Research.
  • Assists in proposal writing and client liaison.
  • Demonstrates and actively promotes an open and honest working environment to encourage close teamwork and foster knowledge transfer.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant SOPs, policies, and procedures.
