Remedy Tutors is looking for caring, patient and enthusiastic EOTAS Tutors to support children and young people across Bromley who receive, or require, Education Otherwise Than At School (EOTAS).
You’ll provide personalised one-to-one tuition to learners who may be unable to access a traditional school environment and need a more flexible, individualised approach to education.
Tuition may take place in the student’s home or another suitable learning environment, depending on the placement. You’ll help students develop their academic skills, rebuild confidence and work towards meaningful educational progress at their own pace.
This is a rewarding opportunity for tutors who are passionate about inclusive education and supporting young people who face barriers to learning.
Maths and English are essential subjects for this role. Tutors who can teach additional subjects are also encouraged to apply.
Every student has individual strengths, needs and learning goals. We aim to match tutors to referrals based on their experience, subject knowledge, location and availability.
You should be patient, reliable, adaptable and confident working independently with children and young people who may have experienced difficulties accessing education.
Experience supporting learners with autism, ADHD, SEMH, anxiety or school avoidance would be advantageous.
QTS is not essential for every placement, provided you have suitable experience and subject knowledge. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is preferred.
Typical referrals are around 10-15 hours per week per student, with opportunities to build your hours depending on availability and demand.
