Job summary

MorePeople in the United Kingdom is recruiting an Environmental Sustainability Manager for a well-established food manufacturer. You will lead Scope 1 and 2 reporting, drive improvements in carbon, energy, water, waste, and packaging, and oversee EcoVadis and regulatory reporting.

You will work across multiple UK sites, influencing senior leadership to shape the sustainability roadmap and deliver tangible business impact from the factory floor to the boardroom.

Qualifications

• Experience in sustainability, ESG or energy management within manufacturing.
• FMCG or food production experience preferred.
• Knowledge of carbon reporting and environmental compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead Scope 1 and 2 reporting and support Scope 3 approach.
• Drive improvements in carbon, energy, water, waste and packaging performance.
• Lead EcoVadis and customer sustainability requirements.
• Support ISO 14001 aligned environmental management systems.
• Monitor environmental legislation including EPR, PPWR and Plastic Packaging Tax requirements.
• Collaborate with operational teams to deliver environmental improvements across sites.

Northamptonshire | £55,000 - £65,000 + £6,000 Car Allowance + Private Medical

I'm working with a well-established food manufacturer looking for an Environmental Sustainability Manager to influence environmental performance across sites in the UK.

Reporting to the Group Head of Health, Safety & Environment, you'll take a leading role in developing sustainability initiatives that create real business impact. From carbon reduction and environmental compliance through to packaging, energy, water and waste management, you'll be at the heart of the company's sustainability journey.

This is a role for someone who enjoys building relationships, influencing decisions and turning sustainability plans into practical actions.

What you'll need

• Experience within Sustainability, Environmental, ESG or Energy Management
• Manufacturing, FMCG or food production experience

• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
