Job summary

Edina, a leading international power generation specialist, is seeking an Environmental and Sustainability Officer to join the SHEQ team in Stockport. This role leads our environmental management and sustainability programmes and supports the company’s net-zero commitments.

You will drive carbon reduction, manage sustainability reporting and audits, and promote environmental improvements across the organisation while ensuring compliance with environmental legislation and ESRS requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Environmental Engineering or related field.
• MIEMA/FIEMA or CIWEM membership is required.
• Experience maintaining ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems (2026 update).
• Proven greenhouse gas accounting under ISO 14064 and Scope 3 emissions assessments.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental management and sustainability programmes.
• Drive carbon reduction strategy and Net Zero commitments.
• Oversee environmental reporting, audits and continuous improvement of EMS.
• Promote environmental awareness and improvement initiatives across the organisation.
