Job summary

Involve Recruitment seeks to place an Environmental Supervisor for a major Port Talbot project. The role involves supervising day-to-day environmental and civil works, ensuring compliance with Environmental Management Plans and health and safety standards across three sites.

Candidate requirements include SSSTS/SMSTS, First Aid at Work, and a Full UK driving licence, plus experience coordinating ecologists and subcontractors to deliver the programme.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising environmental or civil engineering projects.
• Collaboration with ecologists and specialist teams is desirable.
• Good understanding of environmental legislation, pollution prevention and site compliance.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate subcontractors and multiple work streams.
• Valid SSSTS or SMSTS certification and First Aid at Work.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day site operations across multiple work areas.
• Ensure works follow Environmental Management Plans, method statements and risk assessments.
• Monitor compliance with environmental legislation and project specifications.
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and ecologists to meet programme.
• Carry out site inspections, environmental monitoring and quality checks.
• Maintain accurate site records and environmental documentation.
• Support toolbox talks, site inductions, and promote best practice.
