Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a夏 Intern in Glasgow for summer 2027 to support Environmental Services projects. The role involves filing, data entry, data analysis and presentation tasks within project teams as we pursue infrastructure development and remediation efforts.

Candidates should be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Biology or a related field, with a strong preference for a 2.1 or higher and prior internship experience.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Biology or related degree from an accredited program.
• Minimum of a 2.1 strongly preferred.
• Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
• Actively involved in campus, community or other volunteer activities or organizations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Self-motivated and eager learner, with an aptitude to grow and develop within the field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation, PowerPoint presentation.
• Assist with responses to general questions.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts by collecting and analyzing data.
• Present solutions to concerns.
• Research solutions to project concerns; analyze and recommend solutions to problems.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
