Adecco are pleased to be recruiting for an Environmental Permitting Co-ordinator to work with there client Southern Water.

• Location: Sussex
• Contract Type: Permanent
• Hours: Full Time (37 hours/week)
• Salary: £44,000 - £48,000 per annum

What You'll Do:

• Act as the principal environmental permitting liaison with regulatory bodies such as the Environment Agency and Natural England.
• Negotiate and secure necessary environmental permits, consents, and licenses in Sussex, enabling us to effectively manage our wastewater and water supply activities.
• Keep the business informed of new permit conditions by updating our permit management system.
• Provide expert advice on permitting matters to various stakeholders.
• Represent our organisation at regional and national meetings, advocating for our interests with regulators.

About You:

To thrive in this role, you will need:

• An Environmental Degree (or relevant qualification).
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Experience liaising and negotiating with environmental regulators.
• A knack for simplifying complex regulatory issues.
• Excellent verbal reasoning skills and numeracy, coupled with competent IT skills.
• Ideally, you will have experience in the water or environmental sector, particularly in wastewater and waste management.
