Job description

Location: Oldbury, B69 2BP

Job type: Permanent, full-time

Working Hours/ Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (office hours)

Salary: Upto £30,000.00 per annum depending on experience + Excellent benefits

The main purpose of this role is to support the Communications manager with the resident engagement strategy within the Sandwell Region. This includes helping the contract to improve community recycling participation.

Main Duties
  • To be a confident communicator, educate residents across a range of channels in including face to face/door stepping, telephone, written, and face to face events. Support behaviour change and promoting good recycling.
  • Investigate complaints/enquiries, received via both the council’s CRM system (DASH) and other sources such as councillor communications. Educate and resolve ongoing issues across waste collection and cleansing.
  • To act as the Community Champion, promoting initiatives such as Volunteering Leave and recording them through our social value portal.
  • To support the Communications Manager to engage with local charities stakeholders to develop community engagement activities that support our contract delivery targets.
  • Provide insight, data and information including community, educational, environmental impact to the communication manager for our monthly reports.
